Particularly suitable for the ground run of legs and a bit for the lower back. For shoulders, I would to the balls of the same manufacturer grab (no experience with it).
While the role does not replace a professional masseur or therapist but for a single fraction of the cost it is more than worth their money.
The recovery after Beintreining is much better if you still coasting legs after stretching short and you should have a soreness roll yet again the day after.
I have just to be safe for 4 weeks training the same program. Roll out the first time without the second time roll with, the third time again without etc.
Shortening the recovery time was clearly detectable, I was coasting after 48h back pain in the legs. After workouts without roll out only after about 80 hours.
The pain the first time rolling out are comparable to those visiting a personally offended and sadistic masseur.
The second time, it feels like as if the sadistic masseur at least bury his personal grudge.
This could also be due to the fact that you learn just very quickly to dose its own weight better.
I highly recommend the Black Roll for all who are unable to visit a massage therapist or therapist regularly or could not necessarily pay 60 treatment for 30 minutes or want.
