The story is well thought out, gripping and plays in a very exciting time -As I finde-. The Second World War is over and new, big cars and the rock and roll their way into the States. The main character Vito Scaletta trying to raise money to pay off the debts of his late father and begins with his buddy Joe to turn crooked things, as in her youth. Here Vito device Step by step to members of the ruling families in Empire Bay -Falcone, Clemente and Vinci, for which he got a few orders and quickly realizes that this is exactly his thing.
The graphics are amazing and an incredible attention to detail can be seen from the very first second. Mention should be made, for example the light of the street lamps, which whizzes about the cars driving, snow blowing when driving down, the sky, the water and explosions. The figures are shown succeeded.
The sound is terrific. Aside from original music and the familiar radio voices of the 40's and 50's, the game offers a clean sound that can be enjoyed both in stereo and 5.1.
The exact playing time I have not at hand, but this is enough and not too hectic or long-winded.
Fortunately, I caught the Platinum Edition, as these also contains three more packages in addition to the main Story Story, namely "The Betrayal of Jimmy", "Jimmi's Vendetta" and "Joe's Adventures". In the first two parts to play a tough guy named Jimmy, who is settled in Empire Bay orders for two guys and eventually tricked by them and goes to jail. In the second part you will then have the chance to take revenge on those same people and to eliminate Tam Brodie and Sal Gravina. In the third package to assume the role of Joe, Vito's best friend, and gets the job done, while just this in jail. All three packages are very comprehensive and provide a wealth of missions.
Conclusion: mafia2 is a thoroughly enjoyable and varied game, which always provides new and interesting ways to accomplish pending jobs and improve highscores.
Oh, I can only recommend.
