Maud Mayeras

I was completely amazed by Maud's history. Even thinking pinpoint one thing (or two) that was not clear, impossible for me to consider this. Almost all fits together perfectly, almost naturally, without forcing, without this being exaggerated. As we already know, memory loss stories is quite recurrent but when it is also well done, bravo!

One thing I loved in his novel and I think that's also what makes its force and allowing him to translate this novel in many languages ​​is that you can not be in too What country is going its history. It prevents Maud really too mark the world of his heroine and it becomes a real excercise style via street names, emissions to the tv or description of the building where Emma lives. It can happen everywhere, not far from home, in the USA or UK!

A good point as to the pace of his book: the book very quickly devoured. It is superbly lectured, it is fluid, the book and the story breathes a very good ryhtme. I started reading a Monday night and I finished on Thursday at the beginning of the afternoon. Read "holiday mode" this is a book that will fall in 2 days or less !!!

For me, I will not say that this is one of the best novels of 2006, it is THE best novel. Maud really deserves one becomes interested in his first novel, and I am a customer of his neighbor.

Slight downside anyway for two passages at the beginning and the end, {...}
I struggled to find myself in the skin of the passive reader who discovers the horrors and simply turn the pages.
