The action takes place in a world in which there has been a nuclear war twenty years ago. The then following period is characterized by rampant epidemics and survival struggles. The film tells essentially the history of the very pregnant Sarah Stockwell (Azura Skye), her mother Margaret Stockwell (Diane Salinger) and some other people who just so keep in the postwar world with what they have on water and both with the adversities of nature also the roving gangs to fight as.
Unfortunately, the movie at any time to build even a little voltage, or entrain the audience. The scenery Man looks at himself and awaiting good 91 minutes in vain that something interesting happens. Instead, one is confronted with strange characters and storylines that just do not want to go together. Since this would be like to funny Dr. Samuel Singleton with his hand puppet, then the a despot similar Abigail Mynard (Shannon Eubanks), the (apparently lovers) David (Nathan Baesel) a makes together with her foster son to autocrat and her small entourage, among others consisting of their bodily, easy mentally retarded son and her two nieces located up always drunk, totally subjugated. Mittendrind is Sarah that actually all the time otherwise makes except pregnant through the area to run.
Is crowned the whole of absolutely stupid dialogues and very bad stunts and fight scenes.
Just to even give an example: A group of survivors is located just in a cave and is attacked by people with guns. Meanwhile, there is the following dialogue, while the shooting is already in full swing:
Michael: What's going on?
Quincy: I think someone tried us gun down here.
Michael: Where are they?
Quincy: Somewhere behind the rocks.
So in the way the runs in many places in the film. So also reaches already a hit with a rifle butt on the scapula of David, that he is unconscious for hours and despite alleged radiation in the outside world (Fallout, poisoned water, precipitating hair etc.) people run strikingly often without any protection outside rum. Also what this pseudo-creepy moments (moving doll eyes, or incorrect reflections in Badezimmerspielgel) should is beyond me.
Anyway, the only two beautiful cinematic moments to take in about 2-3 seconds each and are barely perceptible. (Spoiler Warning!) Namely, as Samuel with Sarah standing outside and the sun is in their minds to a nuclear explosion and the other as she remembers back in a flashback to her childhood.
Conclusion:
20 years after is really a very very very boring ending the film is more than just something for hardcore genre fans, or for those who have not seen any interesting works of this kind. Personally, I have in any case in any film so often looked for a long time on the timer, and just how long this ordeal because still lasts, as was the case here. In my opinion, I've significantly improved C-Movies, Saturday afternoon, looking at one of the many niche television stations.
