Two questions can be answered at the very beginning and who wants to read only the conclusions, there is also a small Pro / Cons list.
Is Club Drive, the best racing game? Jain.
Is Drive Club the most beautiful racing game? Also Jain.
Anyone looking for a simulation will be probably as disappointed as would take someone of a pure arcade racer. Without ideal line and braking smooth and drift you will not get far, but is still far from a true simulation, because Drive Club has virtually no settings of the car (apart from the optics). For me personally, but just the fun, because often I have to deal with in the evening after university or job no longer me so long, but just want to turn some quick laps and that can Drive Club perfectly.
:: Gameplay ::
Drive Club is divided into two major hubs - the singleplayer Kamapgne consisting of half a dozen racing series (partially expandable via Season Pass or sole proprietors) and hundreds of races is (time, Ghost, round, forward / backward, etc.). There is also the Club area, which integrates quite a clever social component.
The single player campaign puts players per race behind a car (depending on the series, for example. Only German cars, pure drift racing, etc.) and provides per run several tasks, once won the bring star. With stars, the final Trophy race can unlock and continue the campaign (in-app purchases, there are not, so you have to drive really well to progress). In addition to gaining fame for winning races, tasks, error-free driving, etc., which can increase their own driver level. With each new level you win next designs mainly new cars, which are urgently needed because in many races all the stars can be obtained only through better car.
The races here are divided now 6 places on (all of which are available for free in the normal version -. Most recently, for example, is still Japan should come).
Should as soon as possible to join an active club itself or start a with a few friends, because everyone fame-profit will also be credited to the club level, with the can then unlock new cars and designs.
In addition, still can go multiplayer races and you can send or take to challenges friends and their own club. If you win one there's more glory and go up faster.
:: Server and Online Gameplay ::
There were initially a lot of criticism because of non-functioning server and missing online gameplay. That has now changed completely. So far I could play at any time day or night with no problems in multiplayer sessions, all the data streamed from the server and the club afloat component works just fine. There is definitely nothing to criticize.
:: Graphics & Sound ::
Graphically Drive Club a splendor. It looks in places damn realistic. The rain is by far the nicest in a game. But not everything that glitters is gold. So I do not like, especially some of the textures. They are simply too sharp and crisp. Musically beautiful electro beats are offered on the menu and on request during the race. The sound is ok, but it's just not a simulation and sound corresponding to at least to my ears, the cars all pretty similar.
:: Conclusion ::
Playful Drive Club is somewhere between simulation and arcade. Without racing line you will not get far, but still one must sometimes boards in a curve and goes reasonably clean out again. This is fun, is extremely catchy and motivated. The Club component is fun. If you've found a useful club, the fame points come almost by itself. Criticism can get similar KI more than the little rubber. While considering the computer opponents with fast car at some point down, but just at the beginning, it acts sometimes a bit strange when you push a car off the track, but this only seconds later appears next to a. This contributes to the drama of the race, would have been unnecessary. Nevertheless, the game stays fair and you can win every race.
Is Drivelcub now the ultimate racing game? No certainly not, but it's a really good racer with many varied trails and races, bulky car and a very chic graphic. It is worthwhile in any case (especially for the current PS Plus Price) and can only be recommended every racing games.
