"American Beauty" - Already the first bars wide this familiar "warm blanket" of! Songs, according to which one longs for a hard day's work. The guitar accompaniment of the opener has incredible catchy character - one of those tunes that you unconsciously whistles all day in front of him. 5/5
"TIGHTROPE" - Perfect Song in Country / Southern Rock style because everything is just right - and the better half "whispers" for the first time with! On's "wire" the band with such a song goes certainly not! Why do you love radio stations? Something certainly liked also a slightly wider audience ... 5/5
"Here We Go" - A serene, bluesy number. The staying-slogan for all those of a mess in another's fall and can not be still be beaten! Will Drew and neighbors safe at their concerts give the best, because the chorus has a huge Mitgröhlfaktor features. 4/5
"SHINE LIKE LIGHTNING" - Now it is the first time something more pop and more rock! Many might just like this song (the chorus would do well in one of these commercials a telephone service provider) - me it is something created to commercially! Nevertheless 4/5
"AVALANCHE" - a "Grower" Left at first hearing yet are completely left, he has now become one of my favorites on this CD! Drew plus Ellie plus lots of love! A grandiose ballad carried by two magnificent voices! 5/5
"HEARTBREAK" - the next Love Song! A superb slide guitar gives the song a bit wistful and "airy" (using this term often, because I can not otherwise express it - maybe some of you have even a few other suggestions for me!). Not quite as touching as the previous! 4/5
"YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY GIRL" - you know the scene from Shrek when Puss in Boots makes these great, guileless eyes? The same expression you probably conjure up his beloved with such a "serenade" in the face! Drew, only with guitar and piano - is enough !!! Dearest seven - so he scores well also with you ... 5/5
"SISTERS BROTHERS" - So people, get away with the acoustic guitars! Now, at last electric guitar and electric bass are unpacked and the Hammond fired up! A rocking "Preacher" song - 4/5
"THE LAST THING WE DO" - One of the highlights of the disc! Rocking up-tempo number that conveys "optimism" and could also come from the pen of Mr. Springsteen! Funnily enough, Drew's vocals remind me a bit here at Bono! Ends me a bit too abruptly, but no matter: 5/5
"Is not nobody GOT IT EASY" - carried by Steel and organ quiet number. "Anyone who has been around easily in this world?" ask Drew and Ellie, without give rise to the touch of pessimism! "The Grass Is Always Greener on the other side!" - Sure, but somebody looks indeed from the other side over to us, so cheer up! I vacillate between 4/5 and 5/5
"I 've Got You" - For me, the weakest song on the album without him for it but to label as "bad"! With 2:36 minutes playing time certainly more a "filler" as a "killer" - after all, well done to whistle along ... 3/5
"WHEN IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE" - The worthy bouncer on "Medicine" The band has again to everything that makes them so lovable and worth hearing for me. So must Folk music sound, so songwriting must be! The last few minutes of this album are just amazing! I bow - 5/5
Conclusion: The wait was worth it (for months I have indicated the contrary feverish publication day)! Drew Holcomb said in an interview that "Medicine" the best and "most mature" would be what he and the band had been delivered! I see it this way: why should one object to a clever man because ...
I wish all those who are on handmade music off the beaten radio sound system, a lot of fun while listening! Love Seven: Forgive me if I've vorgedrängelt me! I'll always associate Drew & Neighbors with your name ...
