Technically this handset does not contain a volume limit but a damping. A limitation would have no influence on the volume until it exceeds a certain value. The damping reduces at high and at low volumes.
In practice, this means: Normal volume is achieved in the vicinity of the maximum volume of the player. Depending on the version of the player and abgespieltem material is distorted then more or less. And quiet passages (eg in radio plays) are often barely understand. And bass like heights suffer. A corresponding player assuming, a very high (harmful) volume can be achieved.
The stability of the product seems OK, the cable possibly a little weak but you can exchange them at a pinch (if you have spare and soldering as screws can). The realization of the "Volume Limit" I think but technically ill. Everyone the something is good enough to work for a few cents can also get two 330 ohm resistors and solder in a few peiswerte headphones or installing the resistors in an adapter plug.
Price-performance I step wg the weak technical implementation as a standard. For EUR 15 instead of EUR 20 that could still go through.
The bottom line is a product that I will not buy it again.
