The pen Roxane Dambre is very nice, fluid and full of an explosive humor! For a first novel - and his young age - I'm impressed. Despite simple intrigue, I hung the various characters and I found this very refreshing reading. Especially since two to three passages have made me howl with laughter!
We follow the adventures of Lou, Daïerwolf 20 years, newly recruited by the DCRI - the French secret service. A breeze for Camille (his best friend) and herself. Indeed, Daïerwolfs, besides being able to take the form of any animal (if they have the same body mass as his human alter ego) are also of a higher intelligence.
I love Lou lists, his humor, his lively distributed and responsiveness. Her character is very nice and I had no trouble finding myself in it. I have also enjoyed the fact that she consults her mother and her relationship with her.
Camille is very endearing. Its funky funny side, especially for a Daïerwolf! He is the brain, Lou muscles. They form a formidable pair.
How not to succumb to the charm of Captain Sylvain (Joshua) Levif? Lou finds to his liking from their first meeting and, frankly, I understand! Their relationship is touching. I really like this couple! While some found it "too fast", I - on the contrary - found their changing natural and really touching relationship. Joshua is far from stupid and he proves it to Lou in many ways.
If you want a good time and laugh, I recommend this first volume. The idea of shape-shifters worked well and interesting, ditto for the collective unconscious and all the characters are endearing.
I already bought the volumes 2 and 3, and I know I will devour them quickly!
