BROKEN NIGHT is now the eighth volume around Mercy and Patricia Briggs has me once again totally thrilled.
What woman has been like the ex of her husband in the house? Mercy is not pleased, but she does not so much worried about Adams response to Christy, because the reaction of the pack. Christy was very popular among the wolves while Mercy still has to fight for their unwavering course. The relationship between Mercy and the werewolves play a correspondingly large role in the plot and I really liked how the characters evolve continuously. In NIGHT BROKEN Mercy also meets again on Coyote and dive a little deeper into the mystery of their origin. The Fae and vampires also play a role, but they are not as central to the plot. Christys Stalker is a very interesting character and Patricia Briggs is building a supernatural element that is never come across me in this form.
The figures in NIGHT BROKEN have me of course again very much. Very nice, I still find that the relationship between Adam and Mercy that without a lot of drama and still remain interesting and fresh. Warren, Kyle, Samuel, Jesse, Darryl, Honey, Tad and many more have their performances and there are also a couple of new characters introduced who could convince me also. I find very interesting Gary Laughingdog that connects more with Mercy than anyone suspected at first glance, and which I hope will emerge in the future.
All in all, I NIGHT BROKEN again fallen tremendously well. For fans of the series and of Patricia Briggs anyway a must. I can hardly wait until the next installment will appear. Very highly recommended!
