Particularly impressive: his flawless game that is extremely good agreement with Daniel Harding and the 'Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra', conductor, orchestra, soloist - almost frighteningly perfect at every stage! Maybe too perfect? Without hesitation: No, it just fits for this brilliant young violinist, whose credo (currently) the controlled flawless sound seems to be; I hear him very much, conscious and alert, his game, his sound is already extremely 'Wish capable'. Who knows what development is as yet shows in a few years, one thing seems certain: Ray Chen is certainly not a time just short aufblitzernder young star, probably a serious outstanding young violinists, the people like to announced a brilliant future.
Alternatives? Of course: Just as soon - and for me that is not a contradiction - I also enjoy (or) other performers whose premise it is again, the pieces may be somewhat less meticulous, but very, very passionate act out! That makes the attraction, savoring diversity, nuances, other interpretations. And musical sensations (the artist as the listener) depend anyway by whim, current constitution and form on the day from. How nice!
