Also, I am now the proud owner of this miracle lens. Until now I had 2 lenses on the go (18-55mm and 70-300mm) and any travel, city and nature photographer knows the problem: The focal length does not fit again for photo object. Very annoying - especially when you have little time for the photo. The situation has long history, until you change the lens. Just for the reason I have become aware of the Tamron 18-270mm. The first impression that the lens made on me was: "What a chunk." There are several points that one reads in forums and reviews over and over again. Since slipping would be the binding of the zoom, then in vertical-down attitude etc. But if we now consider that the lens has 18 elements in 13 groups, it is no wonder that the gravity real grip on the vertical-down attitude. If there would be more resistance the zoom in the normal position would be even more difficult ... For me it slips out but NOT! The sluggishness of the zoom stops in a frame to which you get used to after the first 5 photos. For me no reason not to buy the lens. On the first day, I then also already shot 150+ photos with it and every time I was sure this was the right decision! No more changing lenses more on the way; always the right focal length for each situation; an excellent image stabilizer (especially at the telephoto end awesome!) and images that convince me absolutely of the quality of a super zoom! A lens hood is also included - exemplary! Bottom line, the Tamron 18-270mm is with my needs the perfect lens for me.
