A woman facing her husband in the frozen silence of deep comas, then begins a long monologue, all she had always wanted to say but could not, for submission, prohibited, modesty or simply fear of brutality . She begins to love him, now that he listens and can finally talk to him really. I liked this reversal of power between women and men in a traditionalist Muslim society during the clashes in Afghanistan; this story has the merit of showing the true face of Afghan women, prisoners of their lives in a brutal and still patriarchal society. This The literary point of view, there are long silence which are translated with elegance and ingenuity. The author is a man and yet he has drawn with subtlety and simplicity the character of an authentic woman.
