In my review of the G70400 I was now the test version II.
The improvement has not been dealt with that affect more the semi- and professional as the amateur photographers.
First of all, can now all AF points supported the A99 (Frimware 1.02)
Also the use of a tele-converter is now available without restriction.
The color was dipped into white and looks so professional.
The image quality has remained the same, but this is at a very high Nivau! That razor-sharp images (Fade needed).
The biggest change is the AF, which is now working very quickly and significantly more accurate than that of V1.
And yet "only" three star ?!
Not weatherproof and not protected against dust ... 2 years guarantee ... so .. and now has times 1 and 1 together professionals love.
Sony has failed the lens hood of a reasonable material to Vertigen and also to increase the tripod collar. Why those are criticisms?
Now, when Trasport or detour seeds terrain encountered while wearing a Kast, stone ez. And Zack the 80euro panel on .. so broken.
To Stativschelle, A99 + with Battariegriff the G70400 mk II weighs a lot, a clamp was formed as a handle more than helpful. The distance from the lens should be larger to the quick release plate to be mounted in such a way so that the system is balanced.
The bottom line is the GmkII worth the money, but skilled craftsmen, many miss.
In version 3 Sony should adopt the above points because Tamron has umgetzt with 150-600 all this plus is still 800EURO cheaper.
My advice to Sony: Version III mentioned with Innenfockusierung f5.6 + above improvements for 3000-4000
