I bought this book in order dacquérir practical knowledge in woodworking. I was surprised at the reception of the size of this book, it is huge, 440 pages thick, a beautiful cover. Its dimensions are 27cm x 31,4cm for a depth of 3,6cm. This book is designed in the form of photos and / or drawings with captions. All pages contain illustrations, many, on average 5 to 6 large illustrations per page. Personally I have not found what I was looking for in this book but it does not call at all question the quality of it. My initial desire was to obtain practical tutorials, use of electric machines such as milling machines, lathes, etc. Still, this book is an incredible reference work for respect woodworking oriented artistic furniture, with very well done tutorials for building objects, wooden airplanes, storage boxes, lamps, board, beds, tables, mainly "by hand", though the electrical equipment is addressed succinctly in my opinion. Any "theory" of wood is largely developed, species, origin. I'm glad to have this book for my library and my curiosity. I'll have to look elsewhere to address woodworking machine tool, or more specifically on the use of machine tools applied to woodworking. Given the quality of the book, I want to put 5 stars but I put that 4 because although the error is due in part to me, I would have liked a more accurate description before my command.
