With their fourth album go the Chemical Brothers-honored ways and at the same time try new things. In contrast to the 1999 album "Surrender" performances of renowned guest singers and musicians have been scaled back - only regular guest Beth Orton and Verve singer Richard Ashcroft give themselves a rendezvous for two tracks. Otherwise, the Bros focus on their strengths instrumental - phat beats, bass lines and grooves, insane samples, oblique, yet catchy melodies suitable and always something new. Whether classical loops in the opener "Come With Us" or wild ethnic percussion in Killerttrack "It Began In Africa", both coupled as a single. A very lively and innovative techno album that the sound of the nineties purposefully continues and skillfully breaks new ground.
