Motocross at it's best

I am a long time been looking for a off-road game, which has more realism than the very good MotorStorm series and the crazy PURE (both great, but very arcadig).
MX vs. ATV Reflex is there exactly what I was looking for. Of course, the control is not hyper-realistic, but a lot more demanding than the above two titles. The physics is very well done, which remains challenging primarily due to the changing terrain.

The feature to control the car and the driver independently is fun and innovative at the same. Power than you have (as in other titles) just pay much more fun and the driver balances itself. So come more into play and claim a much nachvollziehbarere control.

Surprisingly, the events are all great and the enemy AI herausfordend. I'm not a big fan of freestyle shows, but by the catchy control and the real design of Arenas makes a Hell fun. Overall, all the routes are very nicely designed and challenging and you never get the feeling that they have to totally exaggerated stunts and jumps (just very real-oriented). The possibility of free ride in open landscapes is also nice, though not as much fun as driving on the staked course.

+ - Contamination of vehicles and drivers, which but not as nice and detail is as MotorStorm and PURE
+ - Damage model for buggies and trucks, which is not overly detailed
+ - Highlights replays of the best racing moments (even without adjustable cameras)

- In the distance often blurred textures and details
- The handling of the buggies and trucks is not as demanding as that of the MX and ATVs (to low weight of the car)
- No damage model for ATVs and bikes

- A photo mode and poor replay function without Eingreifmöglichkeit (really a pity for fans)

Overall, probably the best off-road game for action fans who demand good control and reality-oriented Atmophäre.
