Much value for the money

This system camera is now, 2 years after the introduction, on the way out; the successor G6 provides, inter alia, GPS and WiFi. Who can do without it, get the G5 a very handy, extremely versatile system camera that's really fun.
I originally had for a replacement for the old fashioned bridge camera (Lumix FZ-8) sought to be as compact as possible, but should provide a much larger sensor and allow more flexibility in low light.
Finally, I then decided to go for this small system camera that is comparable to the FZ-8 of its dimensions (it is a trifle higher), but has a Micro Four Thirds sensor and connection. Due to the low flange, it is possible with adapters older SLR lenses (eg Olympus OM, Minolta, Sony AF) to connect, then the function in manual mode. Otherwise, the camera offers an incredible variety of settings, you really have to first of all deal with it, get to know them all. Ua are a Quick Menu (access to 15 functions on 1 button), an electronic horizon (a kind of spirit level) and a touch screen with it, in addition to the usual functions. The controls are large enough tw. programmable (3 keys with customizable features) and are correct, only the aperture, I would have wished forward rather than back to the camera, because it is also used as a pushbutton, for example, for manual focus magnifier and thus occasionally comes to operating errors. Insagesamt a purchase, which makes a lot of pleasure and in which you feel to have won more than we expected.
