When unpacking a slightly foul odor noticed and there were damp stains on the wood to see.
Probably too high moisture content and / or damp container shipping.
On the subject of wood: This bank is indeed teak but more than 50% from teak sapwood.
This means that on the one hand, the appearance is very used to, is very restless by the hue difference, almost like a chipmunk.
Since the sapwood at Teak has a very poor resistance is the durability outdoors very weak.
For this reason, I have decided the Bank with a wood protection primer and then treated with an oil.
Including the previously much-needed sanding a time of about 2 hours.
The assembly also had its pitfalls. The pin connection between meetings and rest part had to be reworked using chisels, otherwise the Zusammnbau would not be possible here. One of the M6 screws connecting the side parts with itz and turned back about 5 mm by before the desired insertion depth. No way to get the screw in or out. Here was also touched up with a Spax screw from behind in the back to get stability.
Now she stands there, looks a bit strange from due to the streaks of the wood and I'm pissed.
Partly due to me because I have been expecting too much for the money but also about the fact that you do not ensure that a trouble-free assembly is ensured. A handwerlich not skilful man had with this bank a chance!
Conclusion: I would have to leave the bank to pick up again !!
