Muse have more fun ...

We had heard and read about this album expected as the eighth wonder of the world ... unfortunately I'm afraid it is not up to the expectations that many fans of the band to Matt Bellamy had placed in him.

For in place of the masterpiece of pop-rock avangardist announced, it is a damp squib that we send Muse.

But let objectives: the 12 songs offered here are not inherently bad, they are generally quite good indeed. This disc would be released in 2006 instead of Black Holes & Revelations, we would have even yelled genius ... Except, it comes out in 2012 and that meanwhile came out Black Holes and The Resistance in 2009, two discs We have already revealed everything of what was capable Muse for bombastic mystical and pop-rock.

Of Supremacy, Survival, Follow Me, Animals and so on ... we find previous albums full of Muse. And lacks the 2nd law, the ultimate tube possessed Black Holes (Starlight) and The Resistance (Uprising).

So of course, we find here and there finds and new influences: Panic Station and its production vaguely new wave, the 2nd law and electro-trance beat, the symphony orchestra and the way chaeurs Red Army Survival on the prog guitars -rock the Genesis Save Me ... Yes, but sorry, it's not enough to make this album, announced the event.

So, I do not know if it is because of this permanent feeling heard, but listening to this album gives the impression that Muse have more fun playing music. A force to seek extravagance and excess, the group seems to have overlooked the essential: the flame and passion of rock.

We'll see what give these new songs on stage. But again I have fears because in my humble opinion, Muse was never as good as during the tour Origin Of Symmetry, at a time when the songs were queens, where guitars were saturating where the battery and bumped where Matt Bellamy was leader of a rock band, more than the ringmaster of a circus to ever greater excess.
