Life Goes On (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Who started in the 90's R'n'B me, it was due to the great hype and groups such as 112, Dru Hill, Boyz II Men, Next, Jagged Edge or Blackstreet not easy, moreover came R.Kelly and a boy named Usher, the withdrawn pretty much any newbie attention. These people also Donell Jones, who despite good albums never made it so real to fame and recognition belongs. The third album "Life Goes On" is not only the most successful of Chicagoers but probably his best. On Features has been completely eliminated, but it needs actually not, because Donell convinced alone with a varied mix of Slow Jams and slightly faster, partly clubby numbers.
Opener "Still" is equal to a little flotterer song, but also has its emotional parts, especially in the chorus. The single "Put Me Down" should perhaps be one or the other a term. Unlike the Maxi-CD, was in the Styles P case, there are on the album version no guest appearance, but that does not do anything. The beat is clearly towards club track, its beautiful melodies make the whole thing come across as too trite to fit Donell's smoothe voice like a glove, so that a first real hit occurs. "You Know That I Love You" sounds by name to an incredibly cheesy Slow Jam, but this is surprisingly not the case. It even has some power and is anything but slow, but pleasant sounds in the background and a Donell Jones bring the message over perfectly and make it a little peppigeres love song. Correct Slow Jams follow it with "Where You Are (Is Where I Wanna Be) (Part 2)" and "Do U Wanna", which especially the second represents a real poem for R'n'B fans. Meet Sensual knocking beats on a quiet and beautiful guitar playing, which is made even more interesting by various additional elements and really goes with the singing of Mr. Jones creeps under your skin. Even the title track "Life Goes On" would be a rather slow and prudent number, another song for the heart and soul, and in the context of the message definitely one of the highlights of the album. Reinzubringen To some variety a few more upbeat tracks were now attached and just gets you. The first makes "Freakin 'U'. As its title, it is here a little faster to the point, which is not least caused by the freaky synth sounds. "Gotta Get Her (Outta My Head)" is also even if it probably reminded of the slightly faster variety of lyrical content in a ballad. During the verses Donell is accompanied by a rather plain-Beat Club, in the chorus but a dreamy melody kommte added, which gives the song a little feeling - great! My absolute favorite is achieved with "Guilty By Suspicion". This is a slow jam first order. Sadly sounding strings and a piano ensure together with Donell for a madness atmosphere that simply can not be without prejudice, especially the chorus is simply a dream. "Do not Leave" reminds me due to its vocoder voices in the background always something. To the Soul of the 70s, really cool and a great change Anyone who zerstreitet with his girlfriend you should definitely audition times "comeback". This is also beautiful and emotional song whose guitar and violins the perfect accompaniment for Donell's vocals, in which he admits his mistakes are. "Life Goes On" was always perfectly up to this point, but a small flaw has it after all. "I Hope It's You" is a bit too much of a good and clear soft and slushy, it follows with "Girl's Friend" it again slightly faster song, which can also be called a couple of funky grooves to its own and thus this beautiful album wonderful finishes.
It's a shame to see that as a talent comes only with real R'n'B lovers willing to listen. "Life Goes On" is almost perfect and I was so touched with some songs, as only very few provide. Although Donell Jones has under his belt now already 35 years old, I wish him that he someday still comes out great. Anyone who likes good emotional and R'n'B, should at least listen again, but also strike the same would definitely not an error.
