One best thing first: I have been never a big fan of Elton John. I liked some of his songs, but on the whole I was what I knew of him, always too mainstream, too smooth and too often durchgenudelt on all radio stations. When I from the CD "The Union" and the story was told recently behind, but I was curious. Leon Russell told me nothing though (sorry), but only the description of live recorded music made me the CD on good buy happiness. By listening to the first time I thought, okay, you can hear well. Although skin me from the stool, but it was not no bad buy. The second time I took more time, more attention and headphones. And then I was the disc simply blown away and can not get rid of me ever since. What a terrific "Union" is that? I find new nuances with every listen. For a song I hum with, the next time I Rocker with, then caused a vocal goosebumps and "I Should Have Sent Roses' rise tears to my eyes. The latter is a harmless-sounding title, but the song has so much depth and is sung with such conviction from the depths of the heart, that this song was worth it for me alone to buy the CD. As Leon Russell sometimes mumbles: necessarily get the lyrics and then listen with text ... I have this year so brought some CDs and as many good deeds were at, but for myself as a complete surprise, "The Union" my personal "Album of the Year" has become. Absolutely worth listening!
