I am basically of the opinion that a review should be kept objective and factual, but it will certainly not be easy to describe this album by Nick Cave, without getting into euphoric indulgence. The first time you preview the songs from "From Her To Eternity" turn out to be dissonant noise attacks that you hardly want to call music. Only after repeated, accurate By listening to the 10 tracks reveal a through-composed to the last detail masterpieces. Cave and his Bad Seeds spray their glowing gloomy music sparks with obsessive dedication, so you might think that they sound right out of the dark underworld. The accompanying lyrics are undoubtedly unique, darkly poetic power, and the way how they are vortgetragen of Nick Cave have been truly achieved never in their intense and frantic completion. Pleading, crying, vibrant with pain and fear, he gives the individual titles with its multi-faceted vocals true gooseflesh atmosphere. Even create the quieter passages, supported by Cave's demonic vocal organ, a sinister-looking atmosphere. The cover versions -Avalanche- and -In the ghetto he gives as expected exceptionally dark atmosphere, so that they are the original intensity more than justice. It is addictive, that one scatters this masterpiece of music history in the ears after repeated listening to the dark poison.
Fans of the more recent albums, this album is only partly recommendable, since the music extremely dark, hard and tuneless comes along, and no trace of the bittersweet, melancholy love ballads later works such as "The Boatman's Call" can be found. For all fans of avant-garde music but this album is an absolute revelation, and is in any case already be present in almost any record collection. In sum is seen here in front of a case of absolute obligation to buy! ;-)
