After nearly a year of "abstinence" I once again put this album into the CD player: It blew me away again! Nevertheless, "Moving Pictures" is still the only album that I have of this band. What even irritated me, because this CD I would still be the best call, which I have so bought 2004 2 years ago. Enigmatic, because that is ultimately an album that I for one month almost every day, sometimes twice, heard have at this time - which is not very often the case with me. Songs like the adrenaline "Red Barchetta" and goosebumps-generating "Witch Hunt" have literally burned into my brain. "Tom Sawyer" has a few addictive keyboard passages and "Limelight" is just the perfect ear candy. "YYZ" is this rare beast: an instrumental that neither superfluous nor uninspired, yet boring sounds. And "Vital Signs" Although is not over-song at the end, but providing the final touch for this CD.
After careful consideration I finally got it, why "Moving Pictures" still the only Rush album has remained in my CD shelf: I have to be most likely disappointed fear! Because this band is a part of me thinks, may have still made impossible another plate as good or even better than this one exactly. But very quietly, if this part of my consciousness is asleep, I will buy at some point but another Rush CD. Betting?
