Here the orchestra of the United Stages has sometimes made a big gala on its feet in order to present the best of 20 years of musical. This double CD is the result. Unfortunately, it can only limited to convince. First of all, the song selection is partly come very strange: All by Myself? Music from the movie "Catch Me If You Can" (well, perhaps because of early Broadway implementation)? And who pray tell actually Leroy Anderson? Even the many well-known musical hits are only very isolated reclaimed new facets. The biggest criticism is the sound: The production has fallen surprisingly vague and powerless. Even in the purely instrumental sections, the orchestra can not shine as it should. When a CD where the focus exactly on this - usually excellent - soltle are orchestras, there are of course for point deduction. Three stars are there for the invariably fantastic vocal performances of Madam Borchert, Perman, Shaki, Douwes, Haakvort and others. All top notch! Moreover, it is very refreshing to be found also songs that are otherwise not represented already dozens and triple on each individual musical sampler on the market. For musical fans and newcomers all in all a recommendable CD, albeit with a few drawbacks!
