When the Proteus Core came on the market, so I have not hesitated long and they ordered me. Now, after about half a year "test" I want to do without this device under any circumstances.
PROCESSING
I consider the processing of the mouse for extremely valuable and as compared to the mice that I had so far, sometimes the best - and in terms of price, as the two mice Logitech Office were more expensive with about 120 and 100 a lot.
Since I am strongly accustomed with previous mice to the extra buttons and functions, I did not want to do without this, reaching therefore the Proteus Core.
Feel and FORM
The mouse sits on my (normal-medium-sized hands a 1.80m tall man) perfectly in the hand. It is the first mouse in which I have to contort myself without each key perfectly achieved, only the earlier sedentary "Sniping" -Daumentaste requires that I have a small piece going forward with your thumb. Unlike some other reviewers, I can not talk about slipping of the finger when scrolling, which so far has never happened to me, no matter how "hectic" it just walked in the Game. With respect to the weight of the mouse I'm also very impressed. She has a good weight, which can be adapted over five attached weights of 3.6 grams to your own taste. Per game or application (eg Internet browser) can be applied to each key so that any functions lay nothing to be desired. The interior of the functions is very convenient, clear and fast. So I use for example the two thumb buttons G4 and G5 in the browser for the forward and backward function, the overhead forefinger key G7 and G8 to forward or backward, click through the open browser tabs. The G9 button below the scroll wheel displays on the desktop and click to instantly minimize all applications, with another click all applications are back.
Along with the free scroll function I want the mouse now miss even with office applications in no case more - thanks to the unique precision cuts them off for my taste even better than Office mouse, than the actual Office mice that I had previously. An important reason for this is that just about any key can be set arbitrarily in the gaming mouse - in the Office of Logitech mice (other software) you were there partly somewhat limited.
After updating the firmware of the mouse you can dim the light of G-logos, and turn off all or (adjustable speed) illuminate pulsing. Personally, I have it permanently shine in the brightest level, since I find very chic logo and the light is not as intense, harsh and disturbing, as others claim. It is a pleasant, gentle blue.
A nice gimmick, which is available on the firmware update in the Software, is the heat map, with which one can can be displayed in different color spectrums which mouse button was clicked how often or how long.
CONCLUSION
Finally, after more than 20 years now PC use and gaming, I've found the perfect for me mouse'm happy. I do not seriously, what could be improved here. Even though I was very pleased with my previous Logitech mice, there was still always small weaknesses. I'm looking at the Proteus Core G502 in vain.
Of course, computer mice are as ergonomic input devices highly subjective assessment - including me - but I can here only recommend to buy and test the mouse.
