I knew before that her first hit, "Why does it always rain on me", but had not heard of the album. The title I found scary but awesome, "The man who" could be a James Bond Title smooth, very mysterious. I listened to "The invisble band" then in the store, and took it immediately, later I bought also "The Man Who". The music is incredibly personable, sounds funny, but those who know the band is more accurately know what I mean. Even after the success of the singer in interviews still shy and reserved. His hairstyle, this half Iroquois is not radical, makes him even more likeable. But unlike many, it is not as smudge-washy, but very real. They are still remained on the carpet, I have not heard a small scandals of you. Now time for the album. It's Britpop at its finest. One can accuse the British so a lot, but you can make music. Pink Floyd, The Beatles and the Stones are probably hard to beat. The album is absolutely coherent in itself, beautifully arranged and sung with a lot of love. Sing - nice to sing along, great melody Dear Diary - Sensitive and sad Side - wonderful chorus Pipe Dreams - somewhat weaker, but still nice Flowers in the window - cheerful, to sing The cage - beautifully arranged Safe - weaker, but nice Follow the light - beautifully sung Last train - something sad, confident Afterglow - nice, light number Indefinitely - with strings, quietly and sensitively The Humpty Dumpty Love Song - rocking, nice end One can the album several times in succession to hear without being boring. Highly Recommended
