The appearance is good. Neatly processed, by combining black with chrome elements, it looks high.
Operation is intuitive, you do not think much. Pretty much every button is where you would expect it. The mechanism of the CD player works, but looks rather cheap. It's slow and groans as it would suffer from senility. At The
CD playing the player is pleasantly quiet.
A USB stick is detected quickly. Without problems you can navigate through the folders and files. Slightly more difficult it is but by the will only numbers and no text appears. Because you can but, at least for a short while, show. A cheap 69 Euro car radio gets the better way. But is perfectly adequate for my needs.
In deep Westerwald I have no problems as regards the reception of my favorite radio station. SWR3, SWR1 and DASDING I receive noise free over the wire antenna supplied. Other local channels also.

But is better than an alarm clock radio, shower or kitchen radio definitely. On the weaknesses various pros reviewers have already received. This I got accepted.
The display is really too small, but still can display all relevant information. If you turn off the system,
the time is displayed, but the brightness is minimized. This reduces the stand-by electricity consumption. Other plants (also Philips) offer an Eco function, in which the display is switched off completely.
The title of MP3s can be displayed. He scrolls through once and then disappears wieder.RDS text runs until you press any other button. This means that if you change the volume of the radio text is gone.
The bottom line, it met my expectations. That's why it gets 3 stars. But there are definitely better systems such as Bose Wave, but also significantly more cost. Compact systems often offer better sound and better comfort elements at a similar price, but need more space. Thus, the system is a good compromise.
