I have, however, brought me in GOG both Shadowrun Returns as well as well as Dragon case and I have not looked back. As background, I can say that I do. Since rd 5 years Shadowrun games fourth edition and all Shadowrun novels and source books for the fourth edition call my own.
How is it then that I actually forgive only four points?
Positive
- After only a short time comes to an absolute Shadowrun Feeling that the end of the game significantly increased (without wanting spoilers) itself.
- Price - performance - ratio compared to a novel more than given. (If it attaches to other games, of course, not take weeks or longer, but me the game has only loose 12 - cost.
- Logically structured
- Good combat system (if you like turn-based combat)
- Weapons have been very well accepted
- Decking was really solved class! (An inspiration to lean the decking in a pen and paper campaign it!)
- Other equipment is scarce but is based on Shadowrun (eg combat drugs)
Neutral:
- Relatively short, but I played much longer than it took me for a novel to read and the option is still to play various other characters / try as loose and I'm going to use safe in the future
- Gameplay very linear
- Game Engine / Graphics somewhat antiquated (but already experienced significantly worse)
- Proverbs and the address system are only Shadowrun "ajar" which also applies to the armor.
Negatives:
- The most negative noticed and for me made the difference was only four points to give the character creation system that has almost nothing to do with Shadowrun. For example, completely covered no Edge or different skills under the table. The system is indeed similar to Shadowrun but still is miles away from it.
- Acquisition of the character and its further development (yet?) Possible.
Outlook:
Dragon case (though in English) makes far more fun than Shadowrun Returns.
The "System" is set in the "early days" of Shadowrun in 2054 and thus has significant development opportunities that are used in hope of further development. Another potential development is the game definitely !!!
And as I said chummers "Never deal with a Dragon" - see you soon in the shade. I love it so far a lot of fun!
PS: A one or two star review deserves not the game in my opinion.
