Never TN panel!

10 days ago I bought this monitor, today I have returned it.
For 5 years I have a Samsung 215TW TFT slowly coming to an end flickers now, with which I was always very happy but. So had something new here. 24 inches it should be absolutely and 16/10, because I need the box to work (programming, Excel, texts ...) and very rarely even watch a movie with. (Why must actually mutate monitors for office work into Sehschlitzeformat ??? In the office I still have a 19-inch format 5/4, I pray that keeps for a long time.) So I got me umgeguckt (prad.de !!) and as the found here. Format true price is right, so far so buy good experience with Samsung. But what nasty surprise when watching sample: TN PANEL !! My old monitor had an IPS panel and that I had completely forgotten. Now I realized again only what was good, my old monitor actually. So, this is not gonna work .... I sit to work pretty close before, and then the viewing angle-dependent representation of SO is abysmal .... the lower strip with the taskbar from booze and the Supreme stripes in dark blue in pallor. For watching movies there is a setting in the Tools menu "Zurücklehnmodus 1 and 2", because otherwise nothing at all see when you sprawls in the armchair in front of the box. Really bad it gets at pivot mode, then the strong angular dependence is not up-down, right-left but. Ghastly ...
The reader may wish to think twice about whether such a big monitor in TN technology makes sense, I find no. Gamers like to see the other .... I do not play.
A word to the exterior: the external power supply I think is good, which can be hidden if need be, when it begins to hum. The tilting up and down is sufficient, the height adjustment is ok. But what I have identified as a shortcoming is the lack of swivel capability. I thought before buying that needs but no, you can still swing the box with his foot. But that is only two-handed, because the connection panel to arm is still very compliant and stick underfoot very non-slip feet. So that's it .. now I've got another 24-inch model, Dell U2412M. I really do not know why I have not taken the same. For about 20 more gibts ne other class monitor. Everything is a little dignified, thoughtful, not so cheap, swiveling, with two digital inputs and with IPS panel !!
