Is there any new music? Is not everything anyway a warming up of ever before seen - possibly newly stirred? If Django Django you many moments has surprisingly where you think "what's new" ... and very good. The first they are not that mix "indie" guitar-strumming and electronic sounds. The "The High Llamas" come to mind, but with a stronger retro twist. Django Django are fully here and now. The US band "God Lives Underwater" has failed terrific couple of years ago. "Owl City" me comes to mind, albeit much more pop and commercial. The Beach Boys harmony-vocal comparisons that are partially drawn, are not wrong. Especially the "Friends" album has similar Gesangsarragements. Every now and then we hear a surf guitar on the many "bloings & Bings". All in all an interesting, well-produced album. "Default" is of course the song over. Still a little more diversified than length album (yes, you can indeed call consistently drawn the style ...) and there are loose and like 5 star. Addendum dated July 3, 2012:'ve seen live at a festival weekend Django Django. Pull it through and really want to know. Very style-conscious (both visually - uniform polo shirts - and musically) Live music is danceable, rhythmic electronic parts are more prominent. The people were excited and danced.
