This album here is similar: basically it's great handmade with pop melody. Nice for the barbecue, for a long car ride or a Sunday breakfast on the terrace. Easy Listening mixed with a few ingredients that lasssen currently selling well. There are some very nice moments. The first song "Freedom Song" but promises more than the album can hold.
The piano solo in "The Woman I Love" sounding sort of like an old piece of Bruce Hornsby. The arrangement for the song "Living In the Moment" could have stood almost on the same idea sheet, as the aforementioned song "I'm Yours". Well, the Company requested a recognition (or resale value) - you can hear that the piece clearly. "I Will not Give Up" could be the last Amos Lee album. Yes, the man as well as what their own?
OK, I'll try to see positive ... "Everything Is Sound": sounds happy to spring, is fun. But then comes the chorus: "... Hall lale lala lala lale he hallejuja ..." ääähm instead comply with the request "let's all sing," I turn to the next song. "93 Million Miles" then reconciled a little with the album.
Somehow I can not warm to the disk, even though I am handmade music completely digested with a beautiful melody. But the corner, Jason Mraz would occupy as is already occupied with a better all series of outstanding productions (eg Amos Lee, Gavin De Graw or the first 3 discs of Norah Jones).
Corners and edges is not the plate, must not be, but there are also no surprises (apart from the text line "I wish I was a fixer" in the song Frank D. Fixer, which is made of German-view really funny).
One of the few pieces for which I can warm myself: "Who's Thinking About You Now?" Although not a great success, but the play has feeling, a very nice atmosphere, a great structure and dramaturgy. Go then.
Conclusion: for the nice production three star, but an absolute Best Buy's is rather not.
