The album starts with "Four Letter Word", a rocking song that shows very convincingly that the guys get along even without Noel. "Nothing Ever Lasts Forever" Liam sings there. Where he is right, he's right. Nevertheless pity Oasis would like to consist even further, because all over the plate, there is no song of the opener could hold a candle. Sure, there are still the highlights, "The Roller" for example. Or "Bring The Light". But either lacks persuasiveness or descriptive texts ("I bring the light, You get to see, You bring the love, It's Ecstacy"). Well, you could say that Oasis have often produced with meaningless lyrics good songs. That's right. But the class that Beady Eye's "predecessor band" reaching, this album comes not ran. Shortly before the end, they failed in "The Beat Goes On" again after and convince me the album to treat its 4 stars.
All in all, must be told that Noel was in fact the creative head of the band and would have done well this album, Noel was still part of the band. But anyway here is a beautiful, really worth listening to music in front of me that knows how to convince as a whole but, and stands out from the majority of today's products of the music industry, in that it "handmade", heartfelt music and you even here the can hear typical Oasis- "Swagger" (it creates hardly a convey as the Gallagher brothers of this rock 'n' roll feeling ..). And this is well known, is priceless.
Shortly to DVD in this "Special Edition": It contains the videos for the songs "Four Letter Word" (Cool Video, Cool Song), "Bring The Light" (should probably already be any known, can be found on YouTube) and "Sons Of The Stage" (B-side to "Bring The Light", almost better than the A-side), all of which are quite spectacular, but nice to look at. In addition, a fairly short "documentary" with the motto "Making Of ..." included, in which the band members a chance to speak, telling the album and even of some more. The whole is lined with videos and pictures from the studio and the songs of the album.
