The unit makes optical well and is used properly in hand. The volume is ok, service catchy with one hand, even though the device has a quite decent weight because of the cooling head. The cooling function is really cool - the device steadily reduces the temperature, so that at the end of shaving almost has the feeling of driving with ice cubes over the skin. Used to, but refreshing and in my case, really soothing. Especially on the neck areas, this has an extremely pleasant effect.
Use with running water - the shower - is also possible, but does not increase the grade quality shaving.
Cleaning station - the only real difference to significantly lower CT-4s is practical and works, as far as I can judge so far, properly.
The negative on CT5cc:
The cleaning and charging station is also here unnecessarily shaky and bugging before and after each use. Even if this is now unfortunately come to expect from devices under 100, so I feel that when a product of the higher price range already rather than naughty. Especially since the engagement is not always possible in the same station and can so easily happen in the hustle and bustle of the morning there, that the razor remains separate for the rest of the day from the mains.
The trimmer is narrow and thus not very easy to control and it requires in accordance with time and practice to trim long beard or sideburns. Again, this is not uncommon in cheaper products, but at a device in 3-digit price segment m. E. enough.
The cooling effect is a real Akkusauger. Since the shaving performance is rather moderate and skin must be processed multiple times in principle, can be reached in cooling mode even to the limit of battery life (approximately 12-13 minutes).
Total:
The rickety cleaning station is next to the cooling function, unfortunately the only highlight of CT5cc. As with the CT-4s, the individual components of the device seem more reasonable for a mid-range device and not fully coordinated. Only the travel case here stands out positively.
Due to the current pricing adjustment I see the razor more positive than his little brother CT-4s and compared to its charging station is here existing Clean & Charge station an improvement, but also requires a regular exchange of the purification cartridge (price around 5.50). Visually, the device also acts noble.
Who knows recurring problems with skin irritation in dry shave and has no problem with frequent charge cycles, found in CT5cc an interesting alternative to wet shaving.
