I opted for the 7020HD, because ....
- New
- About 200 EUR cheaper than the 8000
- Personally suffice me 2 tuner (DVB-S2) completely
- More flash memory (I know that you also can resort to a CF card here)
The only drawback to the 7020HD actually has over the 8000, is the lack of "Picture In Picture" (short: PIP) of HD channels. The chip of the 7020HD supports this probably is not (is a mystery to me why a newer chip that does not create ... but oh well). There are, however, some plug-ins that offer a small workaround. When PIP of HD stations on the station is doing on a smaller window displayed as SD ... hence this is in my view perfectly adequate and therefore not actually a real disadvantage!

The box I've flashed immediately after the start and the first configuration with the current iCVS Image and then imported all updates. Alternatively, of course, are also the images of DMM or OoZooN.
The number of plugins / extensions is very large in the Dreambox world. For many areas you will find useful extensions that make the box easy even better.
For the configuration and the extensions you should take some time ... If you have everything installed properly, the box is completely stable! Special technical knowledge is not required actually really. Many things can be read in forums ... not for nothing Dreambox has the biggest and best community :)
The image quality of the 7020HD is very very good ... SD channels are properly scaled ... better than my Technisat S1. HD channels are naturally stunning!
Who wants to have a powerful box that will always be up to date, the 7020HD is should increase! Strong buy recommendation!
