I have the UDraw Tablet incl. Instant Artist of my thirteen-year-old daughter for Christmas, as they love to paint and draw. You rarely deals with the Tablet. Art Academy for Nintendo DS you like better.
The tablet is well crafted. It is a matter of seconds via a connected Wii Remote. However, remote controls fit with protective cover not into the tablet. This may have to be removed beforehand - in our cases that is not done within seconds.
If you - like me - not to the operation of a graphics tablet is used, it requires a longer training period until the work goes well with the equipment of the hand. Even with my daughter, it did not work immediately. Although we had quickly accustomed to that we need to see while painting on the screen. So the easy control of the cursor went rather quickly out of hand. It is more difficult to develop through appropriate setting of the painting tools and applying the right pressure on the pen a sophisticated drawing technique was. This requires a lot of practice and detailed study of the various settings.
Instant Artist offers a range of characters lessons and games for the whole family. For younger children, coloring, painting offered by numbers and the like. There are also various games. Of course, especially Drawing Games.
What we like the ball game in which a ball is controlled by tilting the tablet through a maze. Many know yet the wooden version of her childhood. The tablet responds very fine to changes in the tilt angle so that a thoroughly authentic feel is created. This functionality of the tablet opens up interesting possibilities for secure additional Wii games.
The characters themselves are quite challenging lessons and not suitable for small children. Children aged 10 and older should cope with it. For this, the software is a really good practical introduction to drawing and painting, which is also suitable as a course for adults. In a number of different lessons until the techniques are demonstrated. Then there is the possibility to practice this even virtually.
An authentic Malgefühl can my UDraw board not to convey even after prolonged exercise. A real pencil or brush is different. It is certainly well suited for the creation of electronic art works. The 'real' painting but one can learn only methodically with the Board. For practical drawing exercises I would continue to resort to pen and paper. Great Malspaß could develop neither my daughter nor I am UDraw board.
