Nikita Magaloff

The Great Concert Hall Recordings (CD)

Customer Review

Having discovered the version of Nikita Magaloff the first piano concerto by Tchaikovsky with the vinyl record of the legendary (and now defunct) "guild disc" is a joy to find her without crunches, with ample game, deep and Powerful Magaloff; the Conductors Willem van Otterloo is also remarkable.
by cons, as specified in the specification, sound recording (especially of the orchestra) is very poor and the poorly mastered stereo ffects; among other things, the orchestra is literally cut in half in the left and right channels, leaving the piano solo in the middle.
However, when left in listening, this is secondary and pleasure to find this brilliant interpretation is recommended for all appreciators of this pianist.
