NiteCore MT1A with 180 lumens (new version)

This is the revised version of MT1A from the multi-task series of Chinese Flashlight manufacturer NITECORE.
Revision because it now, compared to the previous model, has a whopping 180 lumens and the. Only by the energy input of a single AA battery

The lamp comes in a simple package with
- A belt clip
- A replacement cap for the switch
- Two Replacement seals
- A ca. 19cm long lanyard and a course manual

- The length of MT1A is 10.5 cm, the case diameter throughout 2.2cm and weighs 55 grams without battery. Due to its compact dimensions it fits into virtually any pocket.
- The housing is made of anodized aircraft grade aluminum and is kreuzgerändelt the handle for a better grip.
- On the housing a 6-square ring is a rolling away on slippery surfaces to avoid.
- In the lamp head is a double-coated lens made of mineral glass, behind and centered in aluminum reflector a CREE XP-G2 R5 LED with a luminosity of 180 lumens and a burning time of 50,000 hours, which is equivalent to a period of 5.7 years.

- As in the Tactical range typically, the switch in the U-shaped tail lamp is attached and can be easily operated even when wearing gloves.

If the lamp head firmly closed, the lamp will automatically go into Turbo mode. By gently pressing the switch you get a moment of light which immediately disappears when you release. Leaving the lamp for more than 3 minutes in turbo mode, it automatically switches to spare in a weaker mode to prevent overheating and to avoid the battery.

Turning the lamp head by a few millimeters clockwise, can be 5 different modes, activate except the Turbo mode, by a quick double on the switch. Here to overview all modes of MT1A.
1. High (50 lumens), 2. Mid (20 lumens), 3. Low (5 lumens), 4. 5. SOS strobe

Turbo Mode I use almost never, High or Mid sufficient in most cases completely. To read a book in a dark tent, even the low mode would suffice with 5 lumens.

If you switch the lamp in one of the modes of recently used, it automatically returns after switching back in this setting. Thus, it has a memory function.

The thread is beautifully cut and greased and provided with an O-ring. Therefore, it is waterproof to IPX-8 standard. The manufacturer indicates even that the lamp up to a water depth of 2 meters is tight. But I advise them to use the lamp for diving or snorkeling. Still, it's a good feeling to know that the MT1A is not afraid of water and it can be used safely even in heavy rain.

I personally like the MT1A very good, because it is processed very robust and high quality. It lies perfectly in the hand, even when wearing gloves, and it fits with their low level in any pocket and in spite of their limited power source with 180 lumens enough luminosity.
