no automatic power-off

Since about 2 years I run a Samsung hard disk in the DB ALU3e housing. According to my very good experience with it, I have five 2TB HDs purchased at Lipando in this case. Unfortunately, the housing containing the meantime another controller and switch no longer automatically! According to the statement of a Fantec employee in the support forum, only the more expensive FANTEC DB F8U3e has a shut-off function.
We backup jobs running when you shut down the computer. If one does not want to undergo several hours or the entire weekend, the hard drives, you have to resort to a different hard drive. Built here combination is considerably warmer than my own hard drive at home. These two points lead me to a devaluation of the plate.

As written in housing:
Compared with external plastic housings, the warming is still in the frame. The universal connectors operate reliably (tested over eSATA and USB 2 / USB 3). The included stand allows stable operation in an upright position. The boards appear to be better cooled.
DB ALU3e housing are no longer suitable because of the lack shutdown for automatic operation of a receiver or TV set or computer, or NAS.

By Lipando service I was not satisfied. When we after the Amazon return period wanted to give back or exchange because of the lack shutdown the last two unopened, original packaging boards, you have our requests ignored. A request web form and a further request by e-mail two weeks later both went unanswered. Even the question of an alternative disk wanted to charge us obviously did not answer.
Conclusion: Delivery was quick, but when further service requests one seems to stand in the rain.
