About Carlos Santana's 22 studio album is fought properly in the network, and quite rightly so. Then again, but not because the 12 or 15 songs on "Corazón" ("Heart") are well or even very well and are presented with infectious enthusiasm, the love leaves an overlook many. Too much foreign material, too little original compositions? True, but I can hardly criticize, because it does not bother me (Granted, I do not know the originals, helping ...). But "Iron Lion Zion" for example, has been released on any regular studio album by Bob Marley, so I see no problem, especially since Ziggy Marley is Registered and all things. Even "Oye 2014", a quasi again cover of "Oye Como Va" from the legendary "Abraxas" album from 1970, I think with his updated text and at least as modern music nowhere near as bad as many buyers. For me, both songs sound warm and full and just great. Among other things, through fan on throughout the album again and again tastefully employed they sparkle with joy ("Mal Bicho"!). Too many duets and collaborations with seasoned and / or coincidentally just trendy artists? Here you must differentiate: Everything did not like a CAN alone from the sheer number of contributors here. Sure you can wonder if Gloria Estefan wants nothing except singing ballads or may or may not. Sure you can say that rap has to look at a CD SANTANA nothing and therefore find Pitbull shit, but is that the point? I do not find. From my perspective as a non-die hard fan SANTANA "Corazón" not merely "Supernatural" is in Spanish. Referencing the saying "Santana's first Spanish album" is already misleading; which prevents the sheer lace composition "Feel It Coming Back" (The Spanish counterpart "Amor Correspondido" is incidentally one of the three bonus tracks on the "Deluxe Version".). And "Indy". And "Margarita". Carlos plays for my taste a thing or fill too much, and a few awkward fade I noticed negative, but that's by my side. In contrast, for example, the gorgeous creeping "Yo Soy La Luz" stands with exciting improvised midsection. That's exactly what you want to hear from Carlos Santana - and is glad that he repeatedly picks up other styles. Or the very rocky start "saideira". Or "Margarita": Latin Rock at its best. Perfect intonation and staged in order to ensure success, but rarely cold and never sterile. Those who prefer pop-folk, is served well with "La Flaca", "Indy" and splendid Schmachtballaden. In "Making Of" (31 minutes), the parties pay their respects to the icon Santana without solidify in blind adoration. The pure fun of playing together is at least as expressed. The basic idea behind "In our hearts we are all one" is the viewer conveys genuine and suitably impressed. Who can generally do anything with SANTANA, hears certainly in "Corazón" not pure. All others will not want to miss out on some of the new songs. Because, as Carlos on the DVD says: "We have put a lot of love." And heart. And it creates the magic of music. And that's why "Corazón" is not a classic, but always a class album. I am now arrived at scarce 5 stars (at 4.5 will be rounded up times ... ;-))) Smiling-Shark.com
