no new title but a good sampler

The 4th LP "Sladest" is not a new LP with recordings, but a sampler.
One must bear in mind, "Sladest" was originally from 1973, well before CD-times, and who at that time did not want the whole early singles and LPs to buy all, was thus not badly served.
"Slade" was at that time a pure single-band, like many others, because the LP served then in many cases only to the songs that had been produced to date to release compressed in a phonogram.
This was, especially in charts bands until circa 1975 still so, although many groups this time working quite different and the LP was a medium for some bands to bring completely new materials on the market.

It is interesting that "Slade" for the production of the first six singles and the first three LPs did not need more money than at the same time Alice Cooper for one single (about 35,000 German marks)

Musically the disc is as you know the "Slade" the early seventies, well-made "Good Time Rock", in German "feel-good rock"; the title of the first LP ("Play It Loud" to German "Spiel`s loud") says it all.
