No replacement for my HDR-PJ740

Currently I use the PJ740, PJ810 is to the back two generations, and was the first Sony Cam with the optical image stabilizer and a projector. With this I am completely satisfied. The 810 could be, although this is not officially so, as the successor look (almost same size, design, equipment, projector and Bildtabilisator, internal memory, even if the ... was the PJ740 at 1499 Euro and 810 at 999, official price).

Thus, I ordered the 810 and wanted to replace my 740. This was due to the HDMI input, better and stronger Projector Zoom. Although I have read, the image quality was not soo perfect, but thought a big difference there will not be. Unfortunately, far from it. Simultaneously filmed with two cameras to test some scenes and then compared the images with each other. In the 810, the image noise, especially in fine structures such. As carpets etc. is far greater, comes here sometimes only color slush out. With maximum optical zoom the image zerfläddert partly downright.

Basically, the picture is of course not bad, but in direct comparison it still falls on. I do not understand the qualitative step backwards from Sony here. Anyway, I have the 810 returned and will continue filming with Derr 740.
