For testing for Senior Private Pilot at IVAO I wanted to buy the right joystick. The small Cyborg V.1 has come wonderful (really 5 star!), But I wanted more "buttons" have and dreamed that the adjuster for the trim was a good idea.
The Cyborg X (or X 5 or also called FLY 5) therefore comes with more button and a small wheel in the center under the "Coolie Hat" visibility switch.
Unfortunately, this exercise bike is practically unusable. Neither in the FSX control even under FSUIPC, because you can "shoot a wolf" BSI finally an effect occurs. It ultimately involves only two push buttons for each direction, which is ticked briefly on the wheel.
It also sits terribly close to the "Coolie Hat", so that it happened to me several times that the autopilot was switched off, because I had "touched" the wheel when panning the view accidentally. For a while I used this wheel then instead to zoom in and out, which is very convenient especially with the PMDG JS4100. On the other hand I have, so I really no longer need a TrackIR5 "antlers" this feature.
2 thrust levers ... Actually pointless. In practice, you do not need that. I had at that time even once bought a 2. Throttle Quadrant to my FlightSimYoke because I thought how great it is but if you can control each engine individually. Pointless ... The manufacturing tolerances are never in sync. The fumbles it once with FSUIPC properly, but the next time you install one has no desire to make this little game again, because there's no point. 1 thrust lever is sufficient.
Laying PropPitch on the 2nd lever is very useful, at least in a small Cessna, but only there. But F1-F4 is there as well.
The wobble problem. Many have already described here and it is really bad. It's not even the point at which the stick is screwed together, but above all this "up-down" displacement possibility. Although the catch is fixed, it is just not strong enough and it irritates a lot.
Then this terribly big "zero range" in the "Rudder" control is not working. You can hardly hammer out small steering movements while taxiing on the taxiway. Since the V.1 significantly better and more accurate.
The 2 button behind the thrust levers ... Yes, I've already after 1 day both disabled. It is constantly tuned by mistake ... I had put on a To / Ga (+ + G) to start the PMDG 737NGX. Only it's very annoying when you since landing accidentally pushes it ...
On the positive side first, the collapsible stand. After a few Wchen the wobbles but also considerably. I am now changed after around 4 weeks to Cyborg V.1 back and play with the idea to buy me the "General Simulation Panel" from "Opencockpits" as a replacement for the now again "missing" buttons.
I can here only awarded 3 stars, because the wobbling and the ill-considered placement of the buttons and the wheel nerves enormously.
