Already at the first pre-listening to an iPod nano (3G) is striking; punchy clean sound, good vocal intelligibility, accurate in the high tones and a clear deep bass reproduction.
Striking I found the poor recording quality clearly were as with my previous in-ear headphones. Less than 192kBit / s Solten it in my opinion not to be!
As I have read in the forums Ultimates require a certain break-in period, it can only get better.
The exterior appearance; good packaging, German-speaking guide,
reasonable cable length, the two housings are meticulously crafted and the silicone pads sit on it without play.
For me, the smallest silicon cushions sit comfortably without this unpleasant feeling of pressure in the ear.
The transmission of footfall and cable noise can be in in-ear headphones never be completely avoided, but the sounds stay with the MetroFi's in tolerable.
The only criticism concerns the cables, these are very, very stiff and the Ovp. spirally.
I hope this is still.
Finally, a tip for cable routing and to reduce cable noise, the headset for my Sony phone a cable clip was. This is easy on the cable (... under the fork) clipped and then, like a small clothespin, attached to clothing.
In my experience the biggest problem is with in-ear headphones, the attachment of the cable in the housings, dissolves them through to high tensile forces on the cables which things are most ripe for a ton!
Also on the other hand, helping a small cable clip, simply ask again in the mobile phone or Hifigeschäft!
Addendum:
After 9 months it was time, cable break just behind the connector.
On closer inspection it was logical that had to happen.
The plug is perpendicular out of my iPod (I always carry in your pocket)
permanent bend is just not as good for rigid cables.
Then have an angled jack of Fa. NEUTRIK soldered and already it was good again.
