Unlike the mentioned Samsung phone, in which a lot of plastic is used, the X7 is the case and the display glass; It therefore makes for me a much more stable impression. However, there is relatively heavy with 150 grams. I doubt if the car cradle carrying the phone permanently.
After switching on, it takes about 20 seconds to password prompt, and then have a good 40 seconds before you can retrieve the e-mails. Here the Samsung can be safe with its dual-core processor points.
Once booted, the phone but responds quickly to input the commands that it acknowledges with a buzzing sound. There are three main views from which you can then move to the sub-menus is. Access to the menu with the settings through the button below.
I use the X7 mainly for the following purposes: a) call, b) retrieving emails, c) Navigation (the cards you have to download to the memory card, however, is best via PC).
This fulfills the purposes X7 well.
Many additional apps can be downloaded from the Nokia OVI Suite, some of the costs are directly from the mobile phone, not always clear from the outset. There are, strangely enough, even the Nokia PC Suite, at the many features like card download but are overridden. This should clean up at Nokia as soon as possible.
The menus are deep and staggered so at the beginning getting used to, especially since the manual is (hard copy not downloadable in the delivery, but on the phone or from Nokia site) not always clear and complete. The establishment of a Bluetooth interface for example cost me quite a bit of searching.
A new firmware does not seem for the time being provided, would mar. the manual but desirable. Anyway, I understand the criticism of the Symbian Anna operating system as such not quite.
When viewing Internet pages is the limited screen resolution sometimes disadvantageous.
Otherwise: Accessories complete: charging cable (socket changed), data cable, cable with headphones (ear plugs) for radio and MP3 and an 8 GB memory card, which is undersized, if you download the maps.
Another note: In the Ovi suite one sees the MP3 files on your PC, transfer them to the phone, it's not as it used to copy and paste; This should clear up.
Well the Radio: Marking the stations and in the sub-menu of the title of the currently playing songs.
Good for Navigation: link to the satellite is much faster than my old Nokia 5230th
As often much data is downloaded, a contract is recommended with a certain free volume of data from the network operator.
One small problem: in e-mails can not open any files attached to, especially with JPEG files there seems to be types where this is not possible.
Improvable is mE the hakelige memory card slot as well as the way of inserting the memory card.
Conclusion:'m satisfied, but waiting for a firmware update.
