My "grass", I'm working with the Einhell RG-PM 51 S, is sometimes more of a "meadow", so that the grass can grow to 40 cm high before. This amount actually recommends mowing without Grasfangkorg, but I have tried it with basket and it has worked quite well - except for one "important trifle". The basket with its stated 60 liters is usually too small. I also mow approximately 1000 sqm and because the basket has to be taught but often. A larger cage, however, would also bring more work weight again. But back to "bite"! Because the cage is equipped with a "genius" level indicator in the form of a small flap, I first noticed this also and quickly found that one can not be relied upon. After less than half the prescribed 60 liters gray door remained closed, thus indicating that the basket is full. But that was never once the case, but the door no longer opened because of this necessary generated by the rotating blades airflow no longer sufficient impose the flap, and all failed to materialize. Again, the cause was quickly clear: Whatever the Grashalmlänge clogged the chute to the basket very quickly, thus preventing the correct level indication. Whereby not malfunctioning display is the real problem, but the constantly clogged chute. This no longer cut grass is transported in the basket, remains in the cutting room under the mower is ejected with increasing amount sideways. Thus, the basket must be more often than actually necessary removed and emptied, and to clean the canal. This is annoying, so you can live however. The gas provision worked after the first use is no longer on the lever located on the handlebar, but had to be pushed back to the engine by hand. That was disappointing, but I soon discovered the reason for it. The Bowden cables are locked on either side of the uprights with two supplied plastic clamps to ensure the appropriate functions. On the right side but the clip had gone unnoticed lost, so that the Bowden cables hanging down freely. When pushing back the throttle to the Bowden cable in question turned only by simple, without transferring the movement of the throttle valve. With three cable ties Remedy was here quickly created and since then everything funktoniert perfectly again. Otherwise, the unit is very solid, the cutting width of 51 cm as a whole a bit heavier than other mowers, was good and easy to assemble and the indication of the start behavior is also true. Maximum pull twice on cable and off you go. It is supplied with the device to a lawn mower, so you have to work with a device, and because the device should facilitate the work already. Since there are a few "little things" that make it difficult to work a rather:
- As already mentioned, the load with the clogged discharge chute (throw-in in the top half of the basket like my old mower would here also determines better) - In my opinion, misplaced Holmarretierungen with snap lock (would be better on the top or bottom of the tubes, because, like me, so hang on chain-link fence remains), - The height adjustment is something zurechtgemurkst, - The hanging system for the basket is due to mobility a crap! You dirty very quickly and often folds upwards, so that the basket then can not be simply suspended. - A totally unnecessary thing are (or were) the "hubcaps", which I had to run after a few times.
A small correction to the statements of other reviewer would still be attached. The device is also suitable for taller grass and strong enough at the same time a good pace to drive when the rear-wheel drive, but there are 3.6 hp and 6.0 hp not, as has been written. At the end there is also for me a strong buy recommendation for the device, as it is at least as good as the devices of other vendors. And the price on Amazon speaks for itself: the time of purchase Amazon demanded 406 euros and 469 euros hardware store.
