Not really a romance

So I'll be honest, this book initially I did not read it because it's been several months since this collection disappoints me but I wanted to give him a chance and that's a highlander still short I launched and before loving (or rather enjoy) my reading it I had to come to over 150 pages so my opinion is mixed and only my opinion, other readers will certainly find interest.

The theme of this story is a good idea and could only please me necessarily as heroin Ellery Sharpe is a literary critic for a very posh magazine, it has a very negative view of romance novels and a tendency to look down the readers of this style. No luck after a vitriolic article on a popular author, his boss imposes an article (I'll let you see why) she must make amends and showcase the wonderful reading romance novels are. For a literary critic who thinks only interviewed John Irving you can imagine that this is the absolute horror.

Our heroine is going to go to meet the readers Alex accompanied by a photographer who happens to be her ex-boyfriend. He accepted the mission as it not only needs money to fulfill his dream but he thought back to reconquer the young woman. It's also going to have the good sense to let him experience the romance by buying three books which should absolutely read and offering to follow in the footsteps of those books that will take them to England and Scotland.

I admit that I took great pleasure to monologues on the novels of Ellery and those who read them, the author put into his mouth all caricatured reflections I have heard about this kind with great humor and metaphors enough drôles.J'ai also found the two heroes rather nice, so what went wrong? Well sorry but romance for me is a love story, it's the hunt, seduction, emotions, feelings and there Well not much. I do not feel any love connection between the two, no alchemy, there is a very strange sex scene in a museum that is weirder than sensual, wondering if these two are really attracted to the other.

In fact about 400 pages and dust, you barely fifty on the relationship, by cons if you have read the first book in the series by Diana Gabaldon "thistle and tartan" and you're a fan, you will not be disappointed because one of the three books chosen is this so you have whole passages of the book: a real tribute. If I wanted to read this book (which also is high on my library) I would have done.

In the end there was a great opportunity to create something original about the romance genre, the plot have been striking and sexy with a literary snob to write to the romance genre and come to love it, but the author went completely off.

NB: Message for the very brave person who puts not under each of my comments, know that I assume the fact of loving Romance whatever kind and that if you, you consider this style as the M .... it's your problem.
