Whether this is to be interpreted as positive or negative, everyone must decide for themselves.
Expectations should not be put on this album prefer. Because when you insert the CD, is something you certainly do not expect.
Comparisons with previous albums are heavy, here is a completely new style there. The songs are much more melodic and text Stressed than what you previously knew of LP. The fact that this is undoubtedly a disappointment for many fans, everyone can confirm who has heard other albums.
The only question is, do we need a hybrid theory? Do we still need a Meteora, we want a band that does not develop?
Probably only those who themselves do not evolve.
Minutes to Midnight is a coherent, self-contained whole masterpiece, the one notices how much work is behind it. From the first, unvoreigenommenen Listen you feel with what elegance and precision which the songs and their parts are bayed. And no matter what you and claims it is a lie, if you nict admits that here can be heard clearly typical LP.
To say that it would be their worst album is to say roughly when classical symphony would "the Poisen" of bfmv no good.
All in all a very chilly album, with the LP once again, as so often, is what kind of extremely good music they bring to blossom, and that is certainly not dust with me.
Wake: Nice intro, the right mood for the album, does not protect one but before the shock that we learn later, if you're not forewarned)
Given up: One of the more rocking songs on the album. The chorus goes into the ear and stays there for a long time.
Leave out all the rest: Very unusual song LP. The beat in the background stands in a coherent conflict with the rest of the song. Probably one of the songs that will be on the speaking time, if you will gossip about the style change of LP: P
Bleed it out: Another slightly more rock song, with relatively rapid Lyrics. The recording has a live character in front of a small Puplikum, which gives the song a special touch. On the domestic sound system in the living room you might think, LP live at a home.
Shadow of the Day: To be honest, a song that you will probably never listen because you just feel like it. But fits wonderfully into the flow of the album. Very quiet, but holds up well to water and will not be too lax.
What I've Done: Madman song, no wonder that it was the first single. It is representative of the entirety of the album, because the quiet and harder points occur in the same scheme on the whole album.
Hands Held High: Very melodious. The various Texpassagen are etweder very melodic or exactly the opposite, more chanting. Has all in all quite a * "Jouhou we leave and save the world" movie character *;)
No More Sorrow: One of the best songs. Is also a bit louder than in the rest of the album. Live might be absolutely awesome this song :)
Valentine's Day: The song rocks, on a unteschwellige, unconscious way up to the refrain is a voltage curve is based on, which then discharges as a summer storm.. At the end of the song you feel then, as if the air was clean and clear again. Made really great, worthwhile to embrace it.
In Between: Also extremely quiet and LP atypical. Fits Again super in the entirety of the album, but not herrausstechendes song.
In Peaces: again a very quiet song. But this time a pretty good. Beautiful Schlagzeugbackgound, which gives the final pressure that he runs the song soon. At the end of the song, however, everything is perfectly blended and harmoniously coordinated.
The Little Things Give You Away: The grand finale of the album is almost doppelkt as long as remaining songs. Here LP shows again what makes their new style, namely expressive vocals, impressive guitar and drum work and an incredible sense of letting individual passages pass in the song together. After the completion of the song (which expires without intruments) comes the silence of the end of the CD in which one (if you have not applied it on gnaenloses Rock out) can only think things like "WOW" or even "What a scrap '.
Best times myself one, listen twice, without having heard the album can not join you;) ...
