Nothing new on Fouche

It closes this book with the impression of having learned anything. The book is full of empty phrases about the supposed genius of Fouche, but we do not understand at any time how the character works. This comes from the author relies heavily - and too- on the memoirs published at the time and sticks to psychological generalities, presupposing a Fouche who had never changed, which prevents him to reflect on its precise role over the political events.
