For the past week I have a PS3 40GB. An XBox360 Premium I call my own for almost 2 years. I am trying here to compare the two times consoles, as objectively as possible. Nintendo's Wii I leave here once sidelined since these appeals to a whole different group of buyers. Nothing against the Wii, great part, but we are talking about indeed of very different prices.

Style:

Quite difficult here to make a console for "winner". Do you want to gamble backward compatible with Sony you have to dig deep into their pockets to deep in my opinion. I got my PS2 still;) Better to Xbox360.

Do you want to gawk movies in high resolution? PS 3!

Do you want a lot of variety of next-gen titles? Xbox360 (although slowly the tide Sofware increases for PS3)

Do you want to play online for free? PS3!

It comes down to your own priorities on what you want. You have to simply compare or buy both if you have enough coal. But somewhere there is also a mess what Sony and Microsoft to deliver here.
