The true next-gen console!

I am now in a year PS4 owner and I have now risen for Forza Horizon 2 the XBOX One with Kinect. I have to say that the Xbox One is the true next-gen console, during which the PS4 is only a PS3 with better graphics. I am absolutely thrilled of what Microsoft delivers here.

The Xbox One has immediately replaced my PS4 as a media center. Why? The XBOX controls my Beamer, my audio amplifier and my cable HDD recorder. This means at max cathedrals, TV, Netflix or what to look always I say only "XBOX turn". Then the XBOX all the necessary equipment on a! Without remote control. Made possible by the built-in infrared transmitter. Welcome to the future ;-). To turn I say "Xbox off" and then "yes". And the Xbox on all these devices again. And even my BenQ projector is, unlike my Logitech Touch remote, off correctly. This requires 2x the switch-off. I can activate in the Xbox with a tick. Perfect!

The voice control works very well. Only if just running a film has to speak if not screaming almost to be recognized from the noise it a little louder. But that's completely understandable.

The voice commands can be divided into two categories. Once in the XBOX commands like "XBOX go to max cathedrals". These commands go at any time and perform actions, all of which are listed by the command "XBOX". Very practical also "XBOX sound louder" is.

"Select XBOX" is the second category. This is all just on the Bilschirm visible controllable by the language. The voice commands are displayed in green for this.

The user application is fully automatic thanks Kinekt shortly after switching the console via facial recognition. even in low light conditions.

And along the way you can jump thanks to real multitasking among multiple open apps and games, without losing the current "state".

Of course, the XBOX One is also a games console. And now is the performance penalty compared to the PS4 past. Games like GTA 5 or AC Unity running on the XBOX even better.

A nice gimmick: Game scenes are automatically recorded by the XBOX when you've done something "special" or can be stored in the past by the user up to 5 minutes. These scenes can then be accessed using the smartphone app SmartGlass.

The controller is another big plus! Thanks to the vibration function in the left and right triggers to racing games and shooter still feel at times better. And the ergonomics exceeds the PS4 controller by far. In addition, the battery lasts longer. The touchpad of the PS4 is a frustration factor for me in many games. The error has Microsoft not made.

The surface of the XBOX One fun. Everything is fluid and intuitive. In conjunction with the multitasking mentioned another plus compared with the PS4.

Tributary the XBOX One is by voice, to the controller via the extra remote control via gestures (which seems impractical) and the smartphone app SmartGlass. SmartGlass is awesome! You can open very convenient apps here. In addition, a game controller or the remote control cable recievers is perfectly simulated on request. Even text entries are so simple to make.

To play online need XBOX Gold. One year will cost 33 euros on Amazon. For the PS service PS Plus about 50 euros are in contrast due.

The hard drive is 500GB, one of which still about 350GB are available, as well as very tight on the PS4. The great advantage of the XBox One, however, is that this memory with an external USB3! Can expand HDD. In the PS4 have to replace the hard drive completely and install the system software and all the games again.

All in all, I am absolutely delighted with the XBOX One. The Xbox One has been developed with great care and very well thought out. The show features small, bring a lot of added value. Too bad that the marketing was so disastrous in the introduction.

The PS4 I will use only for the few exclusive titles. Compared to the Xbox One simply comes from the past.
